Dr. Gonzalez earned her DVM from Ross University in 2008, and attended Purdue University for her senior clinics. She also earned a Veterinary Associate of Applied Science degree from Suny Farmingdale in 1992 and was a Licensed Veterinary Technician for many years before going to vet school.Prior to starting her House Call practice Dr. Gonzalez had been practicing veterinary medicine in Dutchess and Putnum county for the past 12 years. Previously, she also worked at the Bronx Zoo as a Veterinary Technician; as a Director for the Center for Animal Care and Control, Brooklyn Shelter; and as an Animal Health Technician for NYS Department of Animal Industry for five years.Dr. Gonzalez has a special interest in soft tissue surgery. She also enjoys working with local farms, caring for llamas, sheep, goats and alpacas. Dr. Gonzalez is an active member of the AVMA, NYSVMS, HVVMS and The Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners. She enjoys time spent with her pets, family and friends.
Dr. Nicole Knapp is a veterinarian based in New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Rhode Island in 2003 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in California in 2009. Dr. Knapp specializes in internal medicine and has experience working with tigers in California's zoological medicine field. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the New York State Veterinary Medical Society (NYSVMS).
After working in California for three years, Dr. Knapp returned to New York and began practicing at East Fishkill Animal Hospital. She worked there from 2012 to 2021, then at Hudson Animal Hospital in Ossining from 2021 to 2023, Companion Animal Hospital from 2023 to 2024, and is currently at Wappingers Animal Hospital.
